I Have Windows Nt server 4.0 with servise pack 6 ,I found today a small icon appeared in my tool tray.
It announces my IP when hovered over and when dble right clicked
it offers two choices "current connections" and about.
When current connections is selected it says there is none connected.
When About is selected it says,
"Remote Administrator server v2.1 for win9x...etc (see the attachment file)
registered copy. I never knew it existed until now.
and I never purposely put it there.I did not found its file in my PC or in Add/remove program..!!!!! and I can not close it..
Is there a way to remove it? [tried traditional removal methods]

Thanks .

Someone has full control over your computer. The only sure way to be safe is to format and reinstall.

look under services should see a radmin server running
right click on icon it will point to where they put the exe also check your reg files there will be serives listed there
I'm goofy like that before I would do a format Im gonna find the punkheaded piece of crap and wipe it out
PS you can look at log file and see where it came from and where it was going.
maybe hijack there machine;I,ve done it
most cases a service rep put that on there if you allowed him to.I have asked some of my clients to install so I can remotely fix ther machines.
