Raid monitor utility?

  1. Is there such a thing? Looking for something that can monitor my Raid 1 setup and give me info about each drive, etc. I have an ASUS mobo with built in SATA and RAID, but I don't trust it...

Earlier today I booted into windows and both drives were showing up under separate letters, not sure how that happened but when I rebooted again it was gone, back to 1 drive letter. I confirmed in the RAID utility that it was still set up correctly, but now I'd like a windows app I can open and double check things with.

If the RAID controller or mobo maker supplies the utility, then you can use that. There is no universal solution. And integrated fakeraid is crap.

You should get error messages in the Windows Event Viewer, but that is really up to the programmer who was rushed to produce the fakeraid drivers..
