Restoring this Acer laptop, need help

  1. So I'm restoring this VP's personal laptop and I have a slight problem. The machine was having serious problems so I drive erased it and installed XP. Its a acer travelmate 4400. I just got XP professional installed on it. Now that I have it set up and running. None of the internal drivers are present. It's not even detecting the internal wireless card. So I can't get online with it. I've tried searching for a restore disk for it but I can't find one short of paying for from possible bogus venders.

    Any ideas or directions?

use any of the free system info tools to find out whats on it, or do a google on the make, sometimes you will get one of the sites that lists its specs, the drivers should all be available on the web for free. Techspot has a good range of drivers.

PS next time you decide to do this, make sure you know what you need.
