Nothing wrong with that. Some folks don't necessarily need max performance.

It's indeed going to be a squid surpriseI am intrigued with Ryzen laptops being released with top of the line Nvidia GPU (or ANY top of the line GPU) as I don’t think any have existed sporting anything better than a 2060...
This can only be good news for consumers.
I have the 3090 in one desktop.
I have the 3080 in a second.
I sold the 3070
I sold the 3060Ti (yesterday)
Why would you randomly want to ditch fps? Seems lame.I can’t imagine that.
I’d rather have a core i9 with a 3080
Truth. After tons of research when I decided to pull the trigger on my laptop I already knew exactly what I wanted and from who. I went to MSIs site and it was on sale for 3 days at $850 off what I was expecting to pay. Pure luck I guess.Now....pricing....once these roll out.....whatever combination.....I know we the consumer are going to get the shaft
what did you get....a gtx1660ti?Truth. After tons of research when I decided to pull the trigger on my laptop I already knew exactly what I wanted and from who. I went to MSIs site and it was on sale for 3 days at $850 off what I was expecting to pay. Pure luck I guess.
Be it a low end light work laptop or a top end desktop replacement research is a must.
MSI GT76 Titan 9SG. It has a desktop i9 9900k @5GHz and a 200 watt RTX 2080.what did you get....a gtx1660ti?
It was listed at $4400 (in May 2019 right after release) and to be honest, that's what I was expecting to pay. It was purely a right place at the right time kind of thing that it was on sale for Memorial Day weekend. The final price after tax was a hair over $3800.Always loved the titan GT76.....could never find it anywhere below $4299.
so if you dont mind, what was your final cost, +tax.
BTW great find, I looked at the $3000+ razer, but liked the heat pipes configurtion and roomy expanse inside the titan better....congrats
Thing is there really aren't any better adapters for the Titan series that I know of. They use 2, 230 watt (250 peak) power bricks that break down to a single plug.P.s............make sure you get that power brick adapter
Yeah the Optimus debate rages on which is surprising really. It is a "get it if you need it" thing. For me it was a perfect fit because of how often I am away from a wall plug.Nah....didnt get one
wallet couldnt handle the stress.....
as far as optimus, seems im on the fence on this.....seems some people like/dislike it.
$3800 is the best deal I heard on this....seems your are set for awhile.
here is an interesting discussion on optimus......

No not yet. I'm still trying to finish the latest Ghost Recon without chucking up my dinner. Its not easy. Are you into the cyberpunk 2077 thing.....would look amazing on your rig.
Yeah I just make sure Optimus has me on the iGPU, set my monitor brightness to 75%, CPU limit to 45 watts and even with very light encoding\editing I get 5-6 hours on battery. It is a 90 Wh battery.5.5 hrs...amazing
Whats life without it?!have fun.
