Reviver software

VirusTotal, is not a software application, but a website where you can have a file
x-ray'd and inspected inside for any virus, or malware.

Driver Reviver, that can be downloaded by Techspot, is without a warning by any anti virus program, but if you check it out with VirusTotal, inside it has malware. When a virus program scanned my computer such as Avast free anti-virus, it put it into quarantine. It can be installed and used, but it leaves a mess that AdwCleaner.exe & Malwarebytes has to quarantine and clean up.
If you access the Driver Reviver, website directly to download, automatically Avast, takes the download and deletes it, as known malware. From their website, while you download, the file is not clean to anti malware programs.

This seems to be true for all of them, except the Authorized Distributor of the device that requires the driver. Any after market supplier other than the OEM, always does this. But what if
they at the OEM start to go out of business, or just become neglectful? :cold_sweat:

DriversCloud, is usable, but their drivers are not very good sometimes, and the OEM drivers may work better. :DScreenshot_2019-06-29 VirusTotal.png Screenshot_2019-06-29 VirusTotal.png Screenshot_2019-06-29 VirusTotal.png Screenshot_2019-06-29 VirusTotal.png

Thanks for the heads up. This seems like the case of a small developer going rogue. We were not hosting the files but had them listed for years and they were deemed safe in the past. We could also find a few positive reviews from reputable sites (example) but this seems fishy enough for us to blacklist their installers until further notice.
