Rockstar's GTA VI poised to become the biggest gaming release of all time

As someone who played GTA III, Vice City, San Andrea’s and 4. I found 5 to be fairly underwhelming.

All these years have passed, I remember buying it on PS3, I think I got a third of the way through the story.

Then I bought it on PC many years later thinking I could finally complete it or try out the multiplayer.

Nope, didn’t even get as far as I did on PS3, and the multiplayer is a complete sh*t show, how anyone finds that fun, I have no idea.

This will be the first GTA since the PS2 era that I simply won’t be picking up at launch, unless I see some gameplay and it actually looks to be of any decent quality, probably the first GTA in the entire series I don’t plan on owning.
PC multiplayer is fine now. It's not a full blown cheater fest like it used to be

I hate how folks hype every game and then they complain about things that were never promised, never shown, never mentioned.

They will call the game a scam because thats what folks do, even though they dont know the meaning of the word. They will crap all over the developers for "failed promises" because they hyped themselves to oblivion and never once actually was reasonable about expectations. Expecting things that were never ever mentioned or shown anywhere because some guy on the internet said so or an influencer told them.

Just chill.

The hype and broken promises is often coming from the developers themselves. Consumers have every right to be displeased with poor quality product.

That was not my experience last time I tried it.

Better idea, let us host private servers without randos.
Pretty sure it’s locked at 30fps on consoles… that’s a hell no for me. I don’t consider myself a frame-rate snob but I do require at least 60fps. Definitely waiting for PC release here.
I dont mind 30 FPS, if it is a STEADY 30 FPS. however, that is a lost art, most console games readily slow into the 20s and really bad ones drop into the teens (looking at you Just Cause 3).

I disagree on many fronts. Some I agree with. But far to often I see players hyping games and expecting things that were never mentioned, never advertised or even hinted at. They set their own expectations and then get upset when its not met.

Stop hyping games. Take me for example, I wont read a single review, comment or article about a game prior to release. Im often never disappointed. Then I go to the forums and see folks complaining about something that was never even mentioned in any advertisement, interview or official document.

Well, have you tried it since they updated the anti cheat and added RT to the PC version? The only real bad thing about the update was the removal of global chat, guess that got rid of the lobby spammers promoting the cheat websites though.
