This is a bummer for those waiting on these cards. 3070 8Gb and 3060 Ti 6Gb are still on, but maybe Nvidia got to see numbers on the 6900XTX and decided not to sweat extra models that are unneeded? This doesn't bode well for Big Navi's launch, Nvidia wants to rain on that parade any way it can... unless it doesn't need to.

It seems between limited Samsung 8nm yields and lack of GDDR6X 2Gb chips, making those cards may be problematic while still trying to supply just the announced ones at this point. Waiting till middle or late next year or so to release a 3070 Super and 3080 Super on TSMC 7nm with the 16 and 20Gb capacities, respectively, might make more sense financially to them.

I do not think there will be a 3090 Super though. Or a 3090 Ti, either. I think Nvidia may cap the 3000 generation Geforce at 3090 vanilla. Sales for a Ti or Super version of it wouldn't justify it, probably. But 3070 and 3080 might follow a 2000 Super series example and sale well actually just due to better yields from TSMC supplying enough product to hit targets actually.
