I have a Asus p8z68-v le motherboard and am running Windows 7 64bit. In computer management under "other devices" it has "SM Bus Controller" and it says

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

If your PC is functioning properly, it is nothing to worry about. If you are really worried about this, you can right click on the device (in device manager), click "Update Driver". Proceed with the directions and you should be good to go.

I'm with JC713 on this one.

The SM Bus Controller is usually used to control slow speed devices and I've seen a number of mobos where it's just not used/needed. If you downloaded the chipset drivers from ASUS, plus the Intel Management engine you should be fine.

I did try updating it in the device manager but said it couldn't find any. My headphones weren't working but I rebooted the computer and now they are.

Windows probably installed the driver once you restarted.
