Star Wars Outlaws trailer confirms August launch date, physical edition will require an internet connection

So it’s ok to pirate games that suck for free entertainment after you’ve had a few beers. Lol ok. The lengths ppl will go to justify not wanting to pay.
No one is arguing that piracy is ok… it’s just human nature. If something becomes too scarce or too expensive, people will find alternate methods to get these things.

That’s why people buy “pirated” (see - illegal) cigarettes, drugs, and sex…

Movies and video games are just another commodity that has been abused by the sellers - and people are finding alternate methods.

I’m not saying it’s morally right to find these alternates - I’m just saying that is reality.

There is very little confidence in the big publishers these days. So, at the very least, I'd pirate it to demo the game and see if it's as bad as it looks. If so, all I need to do is hit delete.

No jumping through hoops trying to get a refund. And then if I happen to like it, I can buy it.

As for the internet thing, just sounds like people can't read. NOTHING says it requires an online connection to play the game after the first connection.

Not a fan of that. But it suggests that the game will be playable offline after. And then, at the very least, pirated versions won't need that "first patch" (if something ever goes wrong) if you want to play it again in the distant future.

I played division 2, valhalla, farcry 6 and pandora on ubisoft+. Some of the best games I’ve played in the recent years, no problems with ubisoft+. What is all the fuzz about?
Division 2 was okay, just more of the same that Division 1 was and once I finished those games I never felt the need to play them again.

Assassin's Creed has been trash since the AC3 and AC3 wasn't that good.

Far Cry franchise was ruined with Far Cry 2. Far Cry 3 slightly redeemed the original glory, but it was short lived with whatever the helI Far Cry 4 was. FC4 was so bad that I never even finished playing it and the only reason I ever played FC5 was because my brother gifted me a copy and we played co-op through it, but that didn't make the game any good. I was bored with how poorly it played (not in terms of performance, it ran pretty good) and only suffered through it because my brother wanted to finish playing it.

Never played Pandora and I have no intention of doing so based on the track records of every game they've put out in the past 10 years.

To each their own. If you like the rehashed series or reskinned games they keep pumping out, go a head and play and enjoy. But based on Ubisoft's track record for how lackluster their past games have been, I won't hold my breath hoping they'll release a good game anytime soon - Star Wars related or not.

I played FC1, 3 and 6. I hated every AC game before Valhalla, I found out Odyssey was solid, but playing Valhalla first made it uninteresting.

I’m sure playing every game in the series would make it repetitive.

More Ubicrap? No thanks. If it says Ubisoft on it, I generally avoid it like steamy cow-pat, because that is generally all it is.
