Suddenly wav files problem

this just happened

my computer wont play compressed wav files anymore. it suddenly happened when I was playing around with Fl studio. first i thought that this program was failing, but then I've found out that even VLC won't play them.
then I Google it, downloaded some different codec's, but no. still no luck.

what have I missed?

What program have you installed recently? This may be due to a codec conflict.

well the last one was the game Singularity. before that a divx codec for internett. then i uninstalled the divx, just to see that helped. well, thats it the last week.

Ok try to uninstall every codec pack you installed and also players, without forgetting to clean registry for these programs. Then re-install one by one by checking if it plays after each installation.
