Super Mario Run, an iOS exclusive since its mid-December 2016 arrival, finally has a date with Android gamers set in stone. Nintendo recently revealed that the side-scrolling, auto-running platformer will launch worldwide on Google’s mobile operating system come March 23 (this Thursday). It’ll arrive alongside the version 2.0 update, the company said, which will reportedly add new playable characters.

Also, if you complete one of Bowser’s challenges in the free-to-play version, you’ll unlock World 1-4 (only the first three levels are playable in the trial version today).

Super Mario Run launched on December 15 exclusively for iOS devices. The game was downloaded more than 40 million times within the first four days of launch, hit 50 million downloads in its first week and 78 million by the end of January.

The first few levels are free to play although if you want to progress further, you’ll need to pay a one-time fee of $9.99. In announcing the (now dated) download figures, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said that more than five percent of people had paid for the full version. Doing some quick math, that works out to around $39 million in revenue for the game although that’s before Apple’s cut.

With Switch production reportedly ramping up, demand still through the roof for the NES Classic and now Super Mario Run heading to Android, Nintendo is in a great position heading into Q2.
