  1. I use an hp laptop with windows 10 and system restore is not listed in services. Itried the troubleshooting steps on microsoft's website but none of the articles mentioned system restore not being listed in services.

I notice in this procedure, there is a slider to adjust the amount of space system restore uses which is by default only 1%. What should I use?

System restore was already enabled, and I changed the slider to 30% but it still did not work and system restore service is still not listed.

Don't know re win/10, but right-click on Computer->Properties->System Protection gives the interface controls AND the ability to Create or Use a Restore Point.

I can create a restore point but it will not set the computer back when I run the restore

Hmm; Expectations? Restore does not effect any installed programs, only drivers, system files and their settings.

It always says it failed and nothing was changed.

The restore MUST always be run from an Admin login.
