Wow. My computer has been acting up like crazy recently.

So I did a fresh install of Windows that wiped everything. It was working fine until it suddenly froze. After it froze, I rebooted. Then it got to the Windows GUI loading screen where the bar moves across the screen. Suddenly the bar stopped. So it froze while loading Windows, which almost never happens. Then I rebooted again and everything inside the PC turned on (graphics, HD, mobo, PSU, fans). However there is no display. It also doesn't even go through POST anymore (I don't hear any beeps).

I have already reset the CMOS three times, reseated the CPU, cleaned entire computer, checked all the connections, and run it in barebones mode.

Do I need to get my mobo RMA'd?

System:
Asus a8n sli mobo
nvidia 6800gt
2 corsair xms 512mb ram
200gb western digital caviar SE 7200rpm
500watt PSu

It does sound like a possible mobo problem. However, I`d recommend you try another psu first just to rule out a psu problem.

Regards Howard :)

I'll try my friend's PSU. Don't think it is because it worked fine for a whole year.

Also if I RMA my mobo do I contact ASUS or Newegg (where I bought my mobo from)?
And will they still RMA if i replaced the chipset fan with a passive cooler?
