Tablet, Nook, Kindle?

Since my hope of getting an ipad
fell through for now, what is the least expensive related item I could get that would also allow me access to techspot?

You can go for the Nook. Nook Simple Touch costs $110. It has Wi-Fi connectivity but no 3G. On the other hand if you go for the Kindle PaperWhite that costs $120, you will get tons of ads visible on the screensaver/lock screen and on the Home screen at the bottom.

Does it have a web browser though? I would say Nexus 7.

Price is the main thing. If nothing else, I'm going to hope for a W7 laptop used.
