The best website host?

I am looking for a website host which is cheap and suits my needs. I want it add free, at a reasonable price.

I thought about Tripod again, but you only get about 50mb space, and then I found 2 which were way better, http://www.4uhosting.co.uk which is 30 pounds a year and 250mb space, and http://www.panelhosting.com which is 200mb at 5 dollars a month. Are these 'scams' (that's not the right word I know!) or do they have adds on your site etc...

I am hoping to make an art site, which can host all my art, pictures, designs etc, so don't want anything to major, but I do want a www.anything.com domain.

What do you guys think?

I don't know about panelhost, but here is what I have as the lowest plan I offer. How much bandwidth you think you will need? Your domain will usually cost you a little extra. I charge $13 a year. Let me know, perhaps we could work out a custom package or something.

I have a few websites with this hosting outfit, they don't come much cheaper than that.

You could also try http://www.godadddy.com

If you want to display paintings on the web, have a look at the templates from
http://allwebco-templates.com
Stunning ready-made packages, with a number of them especially geared for photographers, painters etc.
Sofar I have worked with 3 of their packages, and I'm getting another one next month.

Well, <sheer blind patriotism mode>

I prefer my sites to be hosted in Ireland and not the US

Namely because if your site is from the EU, most of its users will be from the EU. Hence being US hosted is going to slow it down slightly.

I've been using www.asmallorange.com

$30 a year, $10 domains, 75mb / 3gb transfer / unlimited emails / cgi / PHP / SQL and a very nice control panel.

They have much larger packages to at next to nothing.

MYOB, surely you must be aware that we live in "rip-off Ireland"?
My patriotism stops at my wallet (except for the occasional pint).
