The Outer Worlds won't launch on Steam, will be an Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store...

I love seeing people get their panties in a twist over headlines, failing to see any logical reasoning behind certain decisions. It's selfishness and ignorance almost everytime. Grow up FFS.

PlayStation has arguably better exclusives in the console market and I don't see people going after Sony for it. Guess what the number one console is?

When it comes to GPU's and CPU's, you want competition, but not when it comes to games? There is something seriously wrong with you whiners... I mean people.

If you all waited just a little bit longer for the full story instead of flapping your gums on day one, you wouldn't look so... silly and immature:

The biggest takeaways from the above article are:
A) the timed exclusivity won't last forever
B) developers of the games you play and love get a bigger cut releasing on Epic to, wait for it, make more and better games!

Gamers can be so annoying...

I prefer GOG.com. The vast majority of my PC gaming titles came from there. My Steam library is very limited. Beyond those two, I don't have any accounts. For me, it's DRM-Free or a hard pass, a big No Thank You and two middle fingers up.

On a side note, Microsoft Store is genuinely atrocious...
Agreed!

Their choice, I am okay waiting a year to purchase on steam. I already have a significant backlog of games to play. Also will give the developers time to sort out any initial bugs or issues.
Might even be cheaper by then.

Competition is fine but Epic played dirty mining steam data. They can suck it. Not getting a cent from me.

As I said in an earlier post, I want a 'launcher launcher' which helps me manage all my stuff without spending game time doing it.
Again, it’s really not so hard to create a shortcut for each game, regardless of distribution company, and place them in a “games” folder...
It certainly would be good to have a universal game launcher. It's currently not easy, even with game shortcuts. I've had a few games where they just will not start unless I start the launcher first (eg. UPlay). Other times, starting it from the shortcut will launch the launcher but then nothing happens - I have to run it again to start the game. Also, in Steam I have some modded games set to not update on launch. But if Steam is not running and I start the game from a shortcut it first runs Steam and then forces the game to update which can wreck a heavily modded game like Fallout or XCOM or Battletech.
I'm sure these are all "bugs" that the game launcher company (eg. Steam, UPlay, etc) could fix but I doubt they would want to. And until they do, the launcher launcher or shortcuts would be just as annoying to use.

Then you must enjoy GOG as well. No DRM, you can download and run games directly because GOG's launcher(Galaxy) is optional.
