Hey everyone,

I would like to find out how much power would be sufficient for my computer. I have the following.

NZXT Lexa Blackline Case
One Internal 500GB SATA HDD
ASUS P5Q PRO Motherboard
HD Radeon 4870 PCI-Express 2.0x16 Video card
HP External DVD lightscribe player
3 120MM case fans, 2 80(?) fans
Intel Dual Core Processor
Logitech 2.1 speaker system

The power supply I have at the moment is a Xilence 600W Gaming Edition Power supply.

Any insight on this prob. will be appreciated as always =]

Thanks,
Havok

unfortunately we often dont realize we need a larger ps until we have issues. its better to go big then skimp and risk damaging your components. 600 watts should be enough for that setup. Ive seen worse.

Agreed on that =]

I was wondering if 600 Watt was going to cut it when I got my new Graphics card, but it's been working flawlessly so far!:D I thank you for reading through my post and helping with my problem, I appreciate it a lot :grinthumb

Thanks for the reply again!

the HD 4870 uses 12.6A, and you have two 20A 12v rails, the rest of your system is not at all over intense..your good :)

Very cool,

I was a little curious as to the exactly how much power consumption the new 4870 models eat up- that's not a bad power consumption- at least..it could be worse :D Thanks for the reply, I'm glad it'll work out tip-top as they say:)

Thanks again for your reply,
~Havok :D
