Toshiba keyboard playing up!

Hi I have a Toshiba Equus laptop and the cover for the `x` button has fallen off and it seems to have sent it a bit mad, if I want to type that letter it wont but it does type it several times when I dont want it to! Any ideas please?

If you have lost the key cap, the only way to fix this is to replace the keyboard
