I have switched on my Toshiba Sattelite A65 after a few months. It only says 'check system and then press F1' I dont konw how to proceed. If I press F1 directly then date format appears and after filling current date, nothing happens. Help please.

Hard Drive sounds to be faulty.

Other than pressing F1, is there another prompt to go into Setup (Possible F2)
Once in CMOS Setup, confirm that you can see your HardDrive (Gig size?)

You may need to reseat your internal Hard Drive (physically that is) and try again.

Also if you had to enter the date and time again, it's possible that CMOS Setup defaults should be done. If you get the same result after another restart (enter date and time) then your CMOS battery (tiny round battery mounted on your Motherboard) requires replacing.

You may need your computers manual, or hardware experience to do this
