While I admit I only saw Transformers 1 and wasn't a big fan of the movie... but they actually start filming Transformers 4 in downtown Chicago starting tomorrow morning (Friday through Monday)!! And i might just go to watch part of the filming! :)

    Transformers 3
I happened to go downtown last night for one of the city's free, open air concerts in Millenium Park. I remembered Transformers 3 was filming because some the downtown streets were blocked! I took a few photos with my camera phone

In the last Trans 3 shot (see slideshow link below), note the smashed car props (a wrecked taxi and burned out car shell behind the cops and several more burned out car shells further back in the road on the bridge)

Click here for the Transformers 3 Slideshow

    Pritzker Pavillion / Millenium Park
Also, here are some thumbnails (click images to enlarge) of Pritzker Paviliion in Chicago used for the free concerts in the park. (Tho my cam phone really doesn't do justice to the Pavillion grounds or the city skyline as backdrop) btw.. after the thumbnail, you can also click on the enlarged image to enlarge it even further

    Some more Transformer 3 pics

Update: more pics. ([post=907243]Also see this post[/post])

So I happened to go downtown again Sunday (and, really, not just because the movie was filming!)

If you go see the movie when it's done, be sure to look for (click thumbnails below) a scene where there's a car wreck on the Michigan Avenue bridge while it's raised up over the Chicago river. (There's also a pile of cars at the bottom of the bridge though you can't see them as well in the pics)

(in the pics below, the bridge is raised and the cars on it are actually "stuck" in place so they're not moving)

I watched both movies TWICE!!! It's freaking awesome! Hope they make a third one and fast! And I hope that the 3rd one won't suck. Can't wait for it to come out! :D

    Hi abe10tiger

Look at my posts above. They just finished filming parts of Transformers 3 this past summer in Chicago. (I have some snapshots!) So i'm guessing it should be coming out sometime next year in 2011!
