In my hotly-contested swing state the very conservative Republican Attorney General said "no sign of any problems". Nobody except Trump is claiming fraud, and nobody at the top believes it. Only his poor, blinkered followers who - though stressed by the effort at doublethink - still want to trust a habitual liar.

It's sickening, and the legal clown show Trump has now put in motion would be hilarious if it weren't part of a tragedy.

Trump's attempt at a coup will fail this time, but what he will do is normalize this behavior and make a coup easier the next time there is a close election.

Just out of curiosity, if your courts overturn the swing states to Trump and he retains power would you respect that democracy has taken place and accept Trump as your president?

except a quarter of this country wont, you just wait and see as rural area's declare themselves a sanctuary from his executive orders and the local police and sheriff's start to refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement, rural America doesn't need much of a push to start to isolate and watch the cities starve to death, and honestly that's what needs to happen. If the farmers would just stop selling food that ends up in the cities and instead limit sales to locals only the cities would enter starvation in a few months, and finally you city people would understand how pissed off we are, and that yes we control your ability to exist.

Certainly, Trump gave every voter that exercised their right to vote inspiration to vote this year whether or not the votes were for him or against him.

Interestingly enough, Trump hired a supporter of his for the head of the Postal Service in the US, and the postal vote turnout was substantial. I think that is because of COVID fears - rightly so, IMO.

Prior to the election, all the election watchers were saying that it would appear that Trump won the election on Election night, however, that would change as absentee/ mail in votes were tabulated. Why? Because voting in that manner favors people who vote democratic. IMO, this is the prime reason Trump is fighting against mail in /absentee votes - he knows that the part of the electorate that votes in that manner typically votes democratic. As I see it, Trump is trying to suppress votes from that part of the electorate - which could also be considered "tampering with the election process". Trump does not GAF as long as he wins somehow.

There is a very interesting program called "Frontline" on US public broadcasting. I don't know what causes some fools to believe in things based not on evidence, but on their personal feelings towards the person spouting whatever it is that they're spouting, the evidence be damned. You are, of course, 100% correct and every credible news outlet in the Western world agrees with you. There is no evidence whatsoever that there was widespread voting fraud. healthcare doesnt need work, it needs to be returned to how it was plain and simple, we don't need to fix the college debt problem, those dumb asses took on the loan to get a degree in basket weaving, they can pay the loan back, they knew excatly what it was going to cost them, they failed to research career prospects and the ability to repay that debt, that is not something my tax dollars should resolve. We do not need to be providing bailouts to people who can't work, we need to be fining states who shutdown, say $500/day per person that was out of work because they choose to shut down their state and make these people unemployeed, thats not what my federal taxes are for. US farmers has been accepting socialist hand outs from the US government for the last 40 yrs. If it wasn't for subsidies 99% of farmers would have failed a long time ago. So why do t you get of your high horse.
