Twitter disables video in Trump retweet after copyright complaint from Linkin Park

Almost freely and freely are two different things. In the US, it is still protected by copyright laws and anyone wanting to use this must get permission from Linkin Park since they are the legal copyright owner even though its a derivative (cover) work.

Trump seems to think that he can just do what he wants and has done this before without getting permission from the copyright owners, so this is on Trump. Whether he believes he is or not, he is still subject to US law.

I don't blame anyone with copyrighted material that reacts in a similar fashion - whether Trump is involved or not.
So what I can't seem to find anywhere, is where they asked for the song to be removed because of either copyright or permission? The real catch here could be that the person/s under the Administration more than likely purchased and/or got permission from the authority to use said music and when the original artist/ owner saw this asked for it to be removed because "they don't like" POTUS. Then it is a different argument, and one that will come back to bite tired old musicians in the arse if they do these kinds of things. If you have a entity that sells the rights to use your music and you set the rules then you want to change them later, you could be sued and lose your said rights to the person you don't like. Just saying.

Anyone who has to resort to calling someone a xenophobe, racist or use any of the other “isms” while debating someone, clearly doesn’t care or understands the issue being discussed.
This is not a debate. If you have even an inkling of his behavior and attitude you'd know all of that is true. Me, personally I think he’s deep down not an evil/vile person. He is just absolutely unbelievably stupid and childish which get projected in a political manner since he somehow managed to become president. But fr, most of his supporters are like that too. The ones in the countryside, poor white people lack exposure and/or knowledge in case of the latter. As a non-american/poc who has worked in the heart of the mid-west, I can vouch for them being the nicest people but just stupid when it actually comes to the matter of voting.

The city life bias and misconception is strong in this one.
