The reality is, it's like art direction, it's ok to have half naked males muscle bound with an 8 pack in a game that shows a female with skimpy armor or clothes automatically becomes sexist and misrepresents the population of females, But the male portion of the game is perfectly fine.... I'm all for equality, just not calling sexism what you believe it to be versus what it actually is. This has infected gamer culture to the point of neurotic behaviour.
As for employment in the industry, if a female has the qualifications and does the work required an does it well, she deserves the job regardless that she may be a female, however companies should not go out of their way hiring people that have no qualifications to meet a gender equality quota, that is just disasterous and not healthy for the industry.

I'm concede it to be a bit of an over-exaggeration. Although it isn't all that far from what is happening, culturally speaking. Feminists by and large also come with their own over-exaggerated claims. Any woman I deal with, as soon she comes off with that feminist goop, I'm done and walking away. I'm not entertaining any further possibility to be misread. I've watched it happen to other people over over again and so I've learned the cautionary tale. I'm not alone in my sentiments. Feminists have taken what may been a defensive posture, which I do understand and no one should be mistreated, to the level of hostility and isn't helping for constructive dialog.

I don't believe this. I worked in many IT companies with a certain percent of women, and women were respected if they deserved it (just like men). If someone dislikes you, or if your presentation style sucks, you can't say that they disrespect all women. They may disrespect just you. Your colleague could have a much better presentation style and the idea got accepted. Don't be a crybaby about it.

There's a lot of crap in this thread that's basically defending unfair practices. The same people will take the exact opposite position on issues of fairness when the issue at hand is anything other than feminism. It blows my mind that the people who think of themselves as being principled, educated, informed and just, suddenly can't keep their rage at bay when the topic is women.

I guess you didn't see the 2016 election night parties for either side. Hillary's was quite homely. I was strucked by the contrast. Incel? Now that's laughable. I've had my opportunities. I quite frankly just don't give a damn anymore. Women are going to have to offer more than just sex to keep my attention, especially when they act with contempt in every other way. Even attractive women are ruined in my eyes by their attitude. A less physically attractive but well-kept and mild manner woman will find more mates. It's all currency. My right-wing tendacies are more religious driven and we know how much the left-wing just loves that.

Another interesting aspect of this study is that it is also saying that successful people tend to be conservative and that unsuccessful people tend to be liberal or in my view, socialist. That kind of backs up the idea that socialists don't want people to be successful and independent. It's not politically advantageous to them. It also explains why the young tend to be more socialist and the old, more conservative. It also should be an incentive for Conservatives to back more education and skill training. Get people off the dole. I wouldn't consider myself a massive success and still working on it, but my failures are by and large due to my own missteps, not others.

These aren't rules. They are tendacies. There's also a happiness factor. Unhappy people tend to let themselves go. Intelligence is much more tied to priority. A good looking person who is vain tend to be unintelligent because they're too busy being vain. I've seen attractive people turn ugly and I've seen ugly people turn attractive. The common denominator is what is going on inside of that person. The physical level of attraction is just an indicator and manifestation of the unseen.
Unattractive people may be unhappy because they're unattractive or are unattractive because they're unhappy, but the two often go hand-in-hand. Attractive people who are arrogant and vain will eventually lose it.

If you don't like dealing with opinions other than your own I believe there are far right Reddits where you can avoid the 'preachy' 'SJW' opinions that so many people (a large majority perhaps?) seem to have.

But FWIW, I'm all for equal opportunity in hiring. Which is why I think they should grab a few of those mouthy biddies from the Hollywood red carpets, strip them of those Givency gowns, give them coveralls, then place them in jobs that involve picking up trash, or running a jackhammer.
