Two vista OS on startup - only one vista OS installed!?

Recently had to do a clean install of vista on my laptop. Everything seemed to go fine. However since then when I startup my laptop it gives me a choice of vista operating systems to boot, indicating there are 2 vista OS on my laptop. However I have checked my hard-drive and it appears as though there is only one. I have now run out of knowledge of computers to get rid of it. Please Help!!

I am not to sure about vista, but with windows xp if you click start--->run and type in msconfig this opens the System Configuration Utility..On the top click the BOOT.INI tab. Then there is a button on that section that says Check Boot Paths. If you click that, if there is an invalid boot entry as seems to be the case it should ask you if you want to remove the invalid entry. Click yes then click apply then close..restart your computer and see if the problem is fixed.

Like I stated that is how it is done for windows xp, Vista may be the same, but I am not 100 percent sure.

Please post back and let us know if that resolves your issue.
