Unstable PC

Hi Everyone

I have a great pc I can max out all the games I play now, but after while while I'm busy playing it'll play in slow motion and then get back to normal, so I think the problem are my hard drives because one day when I came back from work I found my pc in placed near the window and it was very hot, so when I opened it both of ma drives where so hot I couldnt hold them I had to unpluck them and put them on the table for about 20 minutes, ever since then I've been experiencing this problem, so can anyone tell me if this really is the problem or is there something else other than what I've stated.

My PC specs
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz
GPU: Gainward GTX 560 Ti (1024mb)
Ram: 4Gb
PSU: Corsair CX500w

I couldn't tell you if HDD over-heating was the issus or not.

Have you considered a cooling solution for your drives? That way the cooler would keep the hot air from collecting and creating a pocket around the drives.

No not yet have thought of them but never really considered getting one, so you think that'll help?

If the HDD's are over-heating, sure the coolers will help. I'm just not positive that is the issue or not.

Before the day those drives were hot, I was using 9400gt and most of ma old games were playing just fine, but ever since that day non of them does then I inserted ma GTX 560 thinkin it was the card, so now i've thot of buying another hard drive but I want to check with someone elses first just to make sure it is.
