I just got this Acer Desktop computer with this motherboard in it,

It has a AMD E-450 dual-core processor, this processor is not strong enough to support gaming, which is why I bought the pc. I got it two 8GB ram sticks which I thought to be the initial problem of the slow computing, it did help but I am now leaning towards the CPU being the issue, but I am sort of new to this all so how do I upgrade this CPU?
If you could help I would greatly appreciate it!
I can't seem to get the cooling tower off of the CPU, it is held down with what seem to be springs, on the top they have white caps with a hexagon shape
