Upgrading my PC

hi guys! i need some advices and tips coz im planning to upgrade my system. this is my FIRST time to do this.

I am currently using:

PII 450 Mhz MMX
192 SD RAM (128+64)
MS-6163 Pro
8 MB AGP Video Card

and i wanna upgrade it to p3 1G (coppermine).
coz according to this MS6163 Pro my mobo can handle such speed.


now as a newbie, i wanna know the steps in upgrading a PC? do i need to upgrade my memory too? the BIOS?

If you are upgrading just the CPU then you just need thremal compound and a heasink. As for the rest of your system... you should just trash it and build a new one. Go for the old AMD Athlon XP. They would be a very good upgrade and can be found for low prices.
