US visas now demand social media details

For an idi0t he seems to be doing pretty well for himself.
Sometimes the need for IQ is replaced by trickery, deceit, ruthlessness, and pure greed

Trump's "strength" is, the fact that he is a true pathological liar. Insanity and sociopathy are powerful qualities, or if you prefer "tools", which can either lead you to the electric chair, or the oval office.

My observation is that those who intend to enter politics because, "they hate politicians", often quickly become the thing they supposedly despise.

Or put more traditionally, "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

In this case I am volunteering to jeopardize my chances of going to US, by revealing a state-held secret that Trump is an idi0t. That's right, that's idi0t with a zero in it.
That Trump is an "idi0t", is hardly a "state held secret".. His own party is well aware of it. They only play along with him because he was able to get their party members in control, and elected.
For an idi0t he seems to be doing pretty well for himself.

Not really, doesn't pay tax, was declared bankrupt, has shrunk the inheritance he got from his father by an enormous amount, leaving it in the bank would have seen him 3x richer. An incompetent lying, thieving business man, that relies on cronyism and the tax payer to sustain his oxygen thieving, narcissistic lifestyle. This is the dross you find after you drain the swamp and dig down into the ooze and crap.

He got a lot of Democrats elected too.
Party As of November 5, 2018 After the 2018 Election
Democratic Party 193 235
Republican Party 235 199
The house of representatives traditionally gets a lot of the opposite party elected in midterm election years. In fact, (although I'm busy and I don't feel like doing research), if YOU check, I believe you'll find Obama did the same thing for the Republicans in 2010.

And yet he's managed to hold off congress, and finds himself in the enviable position of it being political suicide for the Democrats to begin totally warranted impeachment proceedings against him.

In fact, should he be reelected, you'll need maybe 15 seats in the senate to change parties to get rid of him in his second term.

A big consideration is, whether or not the Democratic caucus, can pick a candidate out of a host of contestants, who could actually beat Trump in 2020. Or would that many potential candidate's different objectives, fracture the Democratic electorate as a whole.

Not judging here, just observing.

When I tell people I don't have a Facebook account they look at me like I'm an alien or act like they just don't believe me. It's as if the very idea of not having one is something they just can't accept or process.

I get that also, when they find out I do not own an SUV or iPhone.

Totally warranted? On what grounds? Being an egotistical braggart and occasionally bending the truth like every other politician? If that's the standard then their all due to get the boot. Actually..I might not be opposed to that.

It's our club if they want to visit or join there are rules. If they don't like them they can visit Chad

The obstruction of justice. Many members of his frequently changing inner circle, have been indicted, convicted, and with respect to Michael Cohen, he is currently serving time at club fed..

I find it nigh on impossible that everyone around Trump stooped to criminal behaviors, while Trump, "walked on the water above them", oblivious to the overt illegalities.

This is the same thing that "didn't happened" with "Bridgegate". Chris Cristie let all his underlings take the blame and fall on their swords for him over the scandal, and just walked away over their fallen bodies.

Being an egotistical braggart and occasionally bending the truth like every other politician?
Trump takes it well past that assessment of him. He's both a clinically diagnosable chronic narcissist, and a pathological liar. He doesn't really trade in the "half truths" of shady politicians, he lets fly with a steady stream of "whoppers", which I'm convinced he himself believes
I've heard it said that Trump, "doesn't actually want to be president, but rather is enamored with the fact of being president.

If all this is off-putting to you, be aware of the fact that the uber left wing, "politically correct". snowflake liberals scare me a helluva lot more.

What's the most horrifying about politics and activism today, is that every fringe element squeaky wheel minority, seems to be running things. That's a very tiny tail, wagging a huge, but sadly complacent, dog.

The real abomination is the fact that that dog has been made to feel so guilty about his status, that he feels the tail should be wagging him.

I guess they wouldn't believe people like my father, when they state they don't use social media.
It's more this scenario. You aren't sure whether you want to give them social media accounts. You don't know what they know. You don't declare an account you have. They know you have it via linked phone number or email address. They say you lied in a binding declaration and ban you from entry.

Yes that is the likely scenario. But my comment still stands for those that don't have accounts.
For those who honestly don't have a social media presence, (Techspot, and a music forum, actually are the extent of , "my social media presence"), I don't see the process of doing a pre-background screening on the applicant's home soil, as an issue.

Of course, if an applicant had a criminal record for opposing a brutal regime, that would have to make him or her more worthy of US entry, as opposed to excluding them. Of course, there is always the possibility that a US inquiry about a citizen of another country for the purposes of obtaining a US visa, could possibly put that person in danger at home, so there's no prefect solution.

ICE is (ostensibly), an independent agency. Therefore, if someone on Facebook called Trump a "douche bag", I don't see that as grounds for refusal of admittance. Now if that same person said "Trump should be killed, and Ru Paul installed as the US president", then eyebrows would, and definitely should, go up.

This is extremely dangerous and bordering on Fascism.

But there's always a solution.

I just use fake accounts.

One account: Linkedin is for my professional inquiries.

My others are for various levels of trolling.

The key is never to allow any one to any how become connected to the others.

Thank you, I started to believe this is a far right page

How the hell are they going to verify that the emails and social accounts provided are the only ones? As if they can't just give 2-3 "good" ones.

FYI even I can't remember all of my email accounts and social media accounts from the past 5 years. For several I forgot the pass, email, that it exists or a combination of them. I'll just give my active ones.

So there goes my planned travels to the US for now. Hope you sort this **** out sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, the world is luckily full of other interesting places to visit. Places where, while entering, I do not get the feeling I'm suspected of committing a crime. Greetings from Scandinavia.

We don' have fjords anyway. So perhaps a "staycation" would be more to your liking. Since I don't know, (or care), who you are, I can assure you my feelings won't be hurt, nor will I miss you.

Hey, maybe, (if you haven't "upgraded" to Windows 10), you could put up a travel slide show on your monitor, and just stay home, and continue to berate the US from behind your mighty typewriter. That would fulfill your need to post what you imagine to be obligatory garbage which feeds into your delusions, and grandiose presumption that your presence in the US would matter.

Look, our current president is a clinically provable psychotic. I'm not entirely sure why we're wasting so much time on this topic, when in all liklihood, he'll have changed his criteria if not tomorrow, by next week. Who knows, someone in "the babysitter squadron", (also known as POTUS' cabinet) will have somehow managed to reason with him, or perhaps calm him down a bit.
,
I've started getting a sense of, "paranoid delusions of grandeur" coming from him, which is the point at which "simple narcissism" escalates to a full blown psychosis, delusional disorder.

BUT, he is "crazy like a fox", in the context that he's blowing up all this seemingly irrational horse poop, as a diversion from his legal problems. There's only so many hours in a day, and congress can't pander to, control, or try and impeach him, all at the same time.

Another problem is that our major parties are plagued with "irreconcilable differences", to the point that Republicans are starting to realize that he's as crazy as a sh!t house rat, yet will stick up for him, and vote his whims, because they hate the Democrats even so much more.

To say they "vote on those principles", is a bizarre yet accurate description of how our congress has managed to render itself nonfunctional, at least for the time being

But Trump's mental health and stability, is actually something being talked about in congress and the media:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...ause-his-bad-mental-health-column/1260781001/

As far as the basal topic is concerned, both our countries need immigration rules and regulations. If not these, what then?

The discussion ultimately forces itself to return to, how much are you willing to sacrifice in the way of income, job availability, and security, should immigration be completely uncontrolled? How would you view it if tens of thousands of people suddenly decided, "Romania is the place to be". How would it affect you directly? Trying to think in the long term, what would the effects be ten years from now? Democracy's "one person, one vote" is a double edged sword. The down and dirty fact of it is this, people in the US can, and have, literally bred themselves into power, at the former majority's expense.

I live in "da hood", and I get the distinct impression that all the "ivory tower uber idealistic liberals" here , really have no clue what is really going on in the inner cities.

Unfortunately, whether you choose to believe it or not, being sheltered by location, and isolated from the physical world via the interwebz, is a formula for incredible naivety. You are able to cling to your ideals, because reality hasn't beaten them out of you yet. I'm not criticizing or trying to start an argument, merely trying to communicate what I know to be true, and have learned with my own two eyes and constant social interactions with people you most likely would avoid like the plague.

I went to the Devon Horse Show Saturday. Devon is on Philadelphia's "main line", which is stone houses and old money. The class difference between those people, and the crackheads and skag dealers I live with and must tolerate, is night and day. It was almost like visiting another planet.

I hope this post gives you at least cause for reflection

IMO, they need to overthrow their own damned dictators, and do it on their own, without US money, troops, and weapons. Not happening? Then we're not as bad as you think we are.

I dunno you, but I got some experience in the mattern, so I want to tell you that the word "Dictator" is falsly used by Western (and here I refer mostly "US") to criminalize, in the eyes of public (and fool) opinion, these Leaders which do not succomb to western pressure.

I'm in Italian. Regardless of my opinion, my country is a long standing sl... allied of the exceptional US. Still, I would not condamn other countries who choose differently from mine.

And what about if a person states that he don't have a social media account and someone fakes one on his name? What about that?
