    They gotta put something on there...maybe a directional pad for hotkeys in RPGs and such.

    That's the death of it. Now the only saving grace is the experimental touchpads, which IMO will suck. SInce the touchscreen is gone, we are still bound to the same console-orientated controller schemes as always.

    Honestly I agree with valve's line of thinking that having to glance at a touchscreen rather frequently would be more distracting then beneficial.

    Cost is my guess as well. It's hard to charge $200 for a controller that no one knows if they'll even want to use it.
