Im helping my friend with his computer that recently had a video card die. So i went and replaced the video card and when i turn the computer on, i get a beep code with one long and three short beeps. And I was wondering if this could mean that the new video card is bad. The computer is a custom build and the mobo is a 680i. Please any opinions will help!

Well , we need more info about the mobo, and type of video card...

mobo brand?
Cpu socket type?
video card name?
video card bus type?

Mobo is a 680i as mentioned.
680i is LGA775.
680i if PCIe.

I would try re-seating the ram and if that doesn't work, clear the CMOS.
