Video pauses continuously

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 3552 and for the past week every video I play continuously pauses (I guess its buffering). It doest matter what internet Im using it pauses. I don't know if this is related but I keep having a pop-up message saying "Reconnect your Driver. Your File History drive was disconnected for too long”. I tried to do this
Right-click on the Start menu and choose Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu
Type in “chkdsk.exe /F B:” (without quotes, where B is the drive letter of your backup disk; you can find this by looking for your disk in This PC/My Computer) Press Enter and allow the command time to run.
It says cannot run because volume is being used by another process. So I clicked Id like for it to run the next restart, than restarted it.,It still says the same thing. Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure if I even have a backup disk lol Idon't know anything about computers seriously I'm like a special needs kid when it comes to computers lol (no offense to anyone with special needs)
1. I purchased the laptop in Jan. from Dell refurbished store, it says MFG Yr 2017
2. I don't think its been cleaned other than the weekly thing thats scheduled.
3. Im not sure what a thermal inteface paste is so I can't answer that.

Also, I put in the command without the disk and it worked but it did me no good cause I don't know what it says lol I uploaded a screenshot of what it says.
And just wondering if the whole backup disk thing wound make my viedos ship like crazy? Or is that two separate things goin on.

Frequent pausing in video playback could be caused by a number of things. Since you have a Dell, you may want to visit and utilize the diagnostics available from the Dell website: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/quicktest?c=us&l=en&~ck=mn

Various causes for pausing are:
- malware (run anti-virus like Malwarebytes)
- PUPs (run AdwCleaner)
- conflict with drivers (check for updates)
- software conflicts (update programs)
- crowded storage disk (do a disk cleanup and defragmentation)
- heat buildup (dust bunny under the ventilation fan shield)
- heat spikes (paste on CPU which improves heat transfer to heatsink has dried out and needs to be replaced)
- a failing battery (they may only last 2-3 years in normal use - test by leaving power adapter attached to see if pausing goes away)

There are probably 30 other things I've forgotten. Check terms at ComputerHope and tinker your way through this. You may want some tools - if you reach that point, ask here or at iFixit.
