Viewing clipboard in Vista home x64

In XP, could put a link on desktop to launch clipboard & view / delete its contents. I guess that's not possible in Vista?

No matter how I try to launch clip.exe, it does seem to start something, but disappears in a blink of the eye. Is the only solution to get a clipboard replacement utility?
