Vista keep turning off

Hi,

I am working on a Sony vaio vgn-cr353 running vista home premium 32 bit. The complaint is it keeps randomly turning off, no bsod, no errors. just turns of. then if you power it up its starts up and boots as normal, until the next time.

I have checked the fan re applied thermal paste, ran speedfan all seems fine.

Checked the memory swapped sticks and slots. Tested with memtest all OK.

Checked hard drive no errors found.

Ran mbam found and removed three Trojans, ran sas and found nothing.

Ran cc cleaner.

Uninstalled and re installed display and network drivers.

Also run on parted magic from a boot disc. and worked fine.

This is what has come up on the event viewer.

File system filter aswsnx loaded (sorry bit vague didn't write all the details down)
Event id 4 kernal processor power
Event id 6 file system filter fileinfo has loaded.

These are always around the event 6008 when it occurs.

Please help i am a fairly inexperienced tech, and i am hoping you guys might be able to point me in the right direction. Also customers coming to pick it up tomorrow.

Did your customer pick it up? Trojan viruses "open" a computer to receive all sorts of nastiness long after they are "cleaned". You could do a fresh OS install

sorry just sorted my account out properly. I am acr pc and laptop lol!

I have tried using the sony recovery partition, but it turns off during the process. Clean install it is.

The customer did have it back for a while, she said it was fine until 2 weeks ago and started doing it again. Driving me crazy lol!!
