Voice assistant adoption rates are lower than previously thought

I’m somewhat surprised that Android voice usage is lower. Google Assistant is light years ahead of Siri in just about every way - it actually works, and doesn’t just google everything like Siri. I miss my Android, and that is a big reason why.
It's because iOS is so bad that iPhone users need voice commands just to do simple tasks.

That's a pretty broad brush you're using there. On my iPhone, I've managed to do the following without resorting to Siri or any other voice assistant:
-- compose email messages & social media posts
-- take photos & share them in a common album
-- download & listen to audiobooks from the local library
-- play games
-- write notes & reminders
-- use the Calendar app to track appointments & grocery shopping lists

In short, pretty much anything that can be done on iOS, I've done without using Siri. As I mentioned in a prior post, I usually use Siri only when I want to see her do something funny that I've read or heard about somewhere else.

Interesting... Maybe the pure Android experience is why it works. Mostly everyone I know has a Samsung Galaxy phone and they can't use OK Google when their device is locked.

Yeah, maybe it is the vanilla Android. I had a Samsung as well before my Pixel and it didn’t have the locked voice assistance either.. which is a bummer because I use GA for ALOT of tasks, particularly when I’m driving and busy with other tasks and such.
