Can any PLEASE help me get rid of this spyware...My desktop has turned blue, I cannot activate my Task Manager, and I continue to get pop ups telling me that my system has been infected.

Boot to Safe Mode and run msconfig.exe (there's a standalone version of it) as soon as you reach your Desktop. Go to the Startup list and disable EVERYTHING! Restart to either Safe or Normal Mode and then run the following 3 anti-spyware utilities:

• AVG 8.0
• Ad-Aware 2008
• Spybot Search & Destroy

I would just run malewarebytes.

Malewarebytes looks for all viruses, spybots, etc... and does it quickly.

For all Virus\Malware removal have a look at:

To re-enable Task Manager download RatsCheddar

It contains a program written by Rathat, and it is a Policy Controller.
Save and extract this program to the desktop.
Once extracted, Double click on the RatsCheddar.exe file.
Enable everything, then click Exit
Reboot your Computer.
