Which computer would be better to buy?

Hey guys. A newbie here :]

I was wondering, which computer I should buy.

Computer 1. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Produc...lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10600-Cat56671&topnav

Computer 2. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Produc...=2&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

As you can see, the first computer has an Athlon processor (which I heard was better than Intel), but is 2.90 GHz, compared to the second computer - Intel 2,93 GHz. The first one has the 64 bit version of Windows 7 (the second one doesn't, only 32 bit) + Nivida for graphics. The second has Intel for graphics...

Can you do a comparison for me and tell me which one YOU recommend I buy?

Thanks so much, Techspot!

Out of those two I would personally prefer the first system (AMD Athlon II).

However I would suggest that you assemble the PC yourself. For $500 - 550 you could get much better choices than those above. However, this would not include the cost of the OS.

Here's what I suggest:

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz - $97.99
GIGABYTE GA-770T-USB3 AM3 - $89.99
XFX HD-477A-YDFC Radeon HD 4770 512MB - $104.99
CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W - $49.99
Seagate Barracuda 750GB - $69.99
Patriot G Series 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333 - $114.99

The total comes to about $530. Wit the mail-in rebate on some of those components you'll get a further drop of about $35.

In case you don't want a graphics card then get this motherboard instead: GIGABYTE GA-785GMT-USB3 AM3.
That would further lower your cost. You could also get a nice case like the Antec 300 Illusion for about $50.
