Windows 10, integrated webcam not working?

Hi everyone! I would love some help with a huge problem I have been having with my webcam. I just can't get it to work. This is the laptop I have. I've only had it for about a month. The camera used to work and I don't know when it stopped working, but it's relatively recent. The error code I get is 0xa00f4244.

Every time I go to the device manager, I seem to be missing the drivers. There's no "imaging devices" tab and it's not under "sound, video and game controllers." When I went to show hidden devices, a section for cameras with "Web Camera" underneath it popped up, and it says that the device isn't connected. I tried to find the driver for download on the samsung website, to no avail.

I also tried checking my anti-virus as most sites suggest, but I only have windows defender at the moment. I temporarily disabled it and it doesn't seem to be the issue.

My microphone also does not work and I am wondering if the two issues might be connected (although drivers do show up for my microphone). I'm a little more concerned about the web cam, as I have an external microphone that works just fine.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help is much appreciated.

Start with https://www.samsung.com/us/support/computing/windows-laptops as it is likely to be specific to your laptop. Microsoft has introduced 'new functionality' in webcams and expects manufacturer to keep up with the drivers.

Be patient and persistent.

If not, it might be a badly installed update from Windows.... https://www.dummies.com/computers/pcs/undo-windows-update/
