that day i was cutting and pasting some files from my pendrive to C:
then at the halfway mark, my power went out.
So after power came back, i saw that half the files were cutted from pendrive but i cant find them in C: (where I pasted). But when i look at the drive properties, it indicates that some files were pasted somewhr that are lost now:(
free space in C: was 1.98 GB, now its 1.65 GB
and yes, about the same Gigs were cutted from pendrive, so it means that somewhere in C: there is those files.

COuld some1 help me please??

what happens to cut paste files in the middle if the power goes off. Where do they go or are they lost forever?

HELP

Use file recovery software to recover from the drive location from which you were copying, not from the Flash drive

hey hobilla

If you know the NAME of any one of the files you were cutting, you can type it in the search bar in your C: ..... this will pop up any closely related file names and one of the files from your pen drive itself and the other files should probably be in the same folder.....

Hope that helps
