Yes. I bought one the day it came out and loved it. Turned it in a few days after the recall and can't wait to hopefully get one back. Traded it in for the S7 Edge which is nice but it's just not the Note.
..
Plus I generally don't buy tech day one so the kinks are worked out first.
This type of issue isn't new and a little research of the Google machine shows over the last few years the major smart phone manufacturers including LG, HTC and Apple have had incidents where the batteries in their phones have caught fire or exploded due to failure. I do think Samsung is handling it much better than any of the above mentioned companies and I would gladly buy a Note 7 once things are sorted out. Until they find a safer alternative that is as cost effective as Li Ion, the reality is that these incidents (although not very often) will continue to happen.
It certainly isn't new, but earlier cases have been exactly that, "incidents". This is a production fault which they have found, and therefore they have to recall because of safety and to not have a shitstorm even bigger than what they are having now.
The 10 days I spent with it, I think that the note 7 is the best device and will remain so for the next few years!! I am waiting for my replacement to arrive!! There is no way I'm going to Go with another device because of this!!
And yes , Samsung has handled this issue very very well.
Get the Note 2. Five years running solid already and no signs of slowing down.I'm tired of having to buy new phones. Give me a new smart flip-phone with a touchscreen and physical buttons plus the normal apps. I'll keep it for a thousand years. clam-shell it.
I'm on the note 5 now. I like it but, as in most cases, I would have done some things different. But ya I do like the notes.Get the Note 2. Five years running solid already and no signs of slowing down.
