MSI is showing off some of its latest ultra-portable systems at CTIA today, revealing full specifications for its upcoming 10-inch Wind U123 netbook and two X-Slim notebooks that were first unveiled in February. The first is basically a refresh of the earlier U1xx devices, most notably including the newer 1.66GHz Intel N280 processor along with 3G and TV tuner capabilities.
Other than that it will carry all the typical netbook specs such as Windows XP Home, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. The Wind U123 comes standard with a 6-cell battery and a nine cell option will be available as well. MSI hasn’t released a price on the U123 but the new netbook is expected to arrive in May.
Meanwhile the X-Slim X320 and X340 MacBook Air lookalikes will also launch in the U.S. in May, priced from around $700 and $1,000 respectively. Both notebooks will feature a 13.4-inch screen at 1366×768 resolution and offer ample storage and connectivity options. The main reason for the $300 price differential, however, is that the X320 will use the Intel Atom Z530 processor while the X340 will use Intel’s new CULV SU3500 processor.
