With disgruntled iPhone 4 owners pacified by free cases, folks around the Web are now focused on a rumored Apple product refresh. Word has it Cupertino has halted shipments of some existing products pending an update to its Mac Pro, iMac, and 27-inch Cinema Display - some of which could come as early as tomorrow but official specs aren't available yet.

That said, it seems likely Apple will drop the 21.5-inch iMac's older Core 2 Duo processors for newer i3 and i5 chips, while the Mac Pro could get upgraded GeForce 400 or ATI 5000 series graphics. Rumors suggest both systems may be the first to get USB 3.0 and FireWire 1600 or 3200 connectivity. Along with changes to Mac hardware, some expect the company to release a new version of its iLife suite which, in addition to updating programs like iPhoto and iWeb, might see the departure of iDVD.

In other Apple news, the company plans to ship the iPhone 4 in 17 more regions this Friday, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
