The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V, set to release in just over a month and a half now, is primed to bring updated visuals, new game-changing features and improved core gameplay mechanics. One of the major additions is the ability to switch between the three new characters on the fly. We got a chance to take a look at this in-game during the gameplay trailer Rockstar dropped earlier this month.

The three main protagonists will go about their daily lives while you aren't in control of them, and work together in various roles to complete missions throughout the game's story. Although it may be a slightly stripped down version, this feature is on its way to the PC version of GTA IV courtesy of mod group GTA X Scripting, responsible for other popular GTA mods that includes bringing the likes of Iron Man and the Hulk to Liberty City.

As you can see in the footage below, the mod will allow players to flip between main protagonist Niko Bellic and DLC leads, Luis from The Ballad of Gay Tony and Johnny from The Lost and Damned. It will also emulate the zoom animation from GTA V, bringing you high above the city, and zooming you down into the next character. The zoom animations are still being worked out, as the mod is yet to be officially released.

In other GTA news, Rockstar has dropped a batch of new screens along with announcing that it will unveil GTA V's multiplayer sometime in August.
