Google is expanding Gmail's quick action button functionality with the addition of one-click access to several more popular web services. This means that, when applicable, a button will appear next to emails in your inbox so you can quickly view Youtube videos, review and rate restaurants on Seamless, modify OpenTable reservations, open Dropbox and Google documents, save a promotion from Google Offers and much more.

For those who are unaware, Google introduced quick action buttons earlier this year. These buttons let users quickly interact with e-mail messages and take important actions without actually opening the e-mail. The company also made this system open for developers to write their own buttons.

Quick action buttons not only make it easy for users to find emails in their crowded inbox but also drive user interaction with the services to which they are linked, making it a win-win situation for all the parties involved.

The list of services supported by quick action buttons will continue to grow. Google said that the company will continue to add more buttons to make it easier for users to get things done in Gmail.
