It terms of performance it is quite good, being within a few degrees of many of the dual-tower, dual-fan coolers that we’ve tested recently. It is also the quietest cooler that we’ve tested in our “Load 2” test at only 44.8 dBA, which is really impressive.
be quiet! continues to surprise me with their most recent releases. The tiny Pure Rock Slim 2 that I reviewed a few months ago shattered what I thought such a small cooler could achieve at such a low price. Now, the Shadow Rock Slim 2 has almost matched the larger, and more expensive, Shadow Rock 3 in performance, and does that while being practically silent.
Once you figure in the compact symmetrical design of this tower, the fact that it uses one very-near silent fan, and considering it beats quite a few of its direct competitors, how can we not fully recommend the Shadow Rock Slim 2?
