At $1,500, the MSI Trident 3 Arctic isn't a bad deal. The only major issue I see with it is the CPU cooling. Other than that, it's quiet, fast, and looks great.
The MSI Trident V3 is quiet, easily upgraded, and packs a GTX 1070 inside a chassis the size of the Xbox One X. Pretty incredible.
This MSI Trident 3 Arctic is an awesome small form factor gaming PC, featuring an Intel i7 7700 and an Nvidia GTX 1070 which can both technically be upgraded.
MSI continues to improve its Gaming Desktop lineups, and the Trident 3 Arctic is a good example of how MSI is challenging how we think about small form factor systems. As in the high-end notebook world—where size constraints call for more costly, customized designs—the Trident 3 Arctic ($1,499) comes at a slight price premium, especially if you compare costs with similar components.
A bulky power supply and questionable aesthetics leave room for improvement, but MSI has laid down a marker and anyone in the market for a small-form-factor gaming PC ought to have the Trident 3 Arctic on their radar.
