The Beoplay EQ is Bang and Olufsen's finest true wireless earphone to date, though its adaptive noise cancellation isn’t class-leading in its real world use.

B&O Beoplay EQ deliver detailed and expressive audio that's a level beyond all but the most premium wireless earbuds. I have some issues with the controls and fit, but they're minor – overall, these are excellent headphones for the premium crowd.

These in-ears are, without doubt, the best pair of true wireless 'buds launched by Bang & Olufsen so far. They offer a comfortable and secure fit, stunning sound quality, and effective active noise-cancelling (ANC) for keeping you locked away in a world of superb immersive sound.

The musicality of these True-Wireless headphones, with their modern, powerful bass response, is highly commendable. Both of the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ’s ANC variants offer satisfactory attenuation of external noise, but the passive isolation properties of these solid, weatherproof in-ears are outstanding. The personalisation options and the range of functions offered by the touch control appear to be in need of improvement. These are points of criticism that could be remedied by updating the firmware and the app. However, the system’s comparatively low total runtime is something that must be taken into account.

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ are the first ANC earplugs from B&O, but far from the first on the market. Bang & Olufsen enters a competition where there are already many players on the field – and most of them are cheaper. Beoplay EQ sounds and works well, and aptX Adaptive is a quality plus. Without, however, being able to fully explain the pricey price. If, on the other hand, you already had thoughts of buying a set of Beoplay E8, you can get benefit of electronic noise reduction with the EQs at roughly the same price.
