Nothing has worked extremely hard on this, its most premium set of over-ear noise-cancelling headphones to date. The Headphone (1) Pro are also the company's third effort under its main Nothing name (not counting the firm's excellent budget CMF arm, and its fun Headphone Pro option) so you'd be forgiven for thinking it's plain sailing now. Two hits under its belt, so add a few spatial audio presets with the option of head-tracking, up the comfort levels, tweak the audio architecture and EQ tab accordingly, eke a little more efficacy from the ANC software and boom? And actually you'd be right, up to a point, because all of these incremental gains have been achieved, just about.

The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro packs features you rarely see elsewhere, like Auracast sharing, wired USB-C listening, and a true parametric EQ. Just make sure they fit your head well, because a poor seal hurts both the sound and the noise cancelling.

Most of what I really liked about the Headphone (1) is still here on the Pro, but that sizeable price increase just doesn't feel worth it in my view. The sound is improved, but not by enough to make them an essential upgrade, and the Pro comes with a case that's frankly the most frustrating of its type that I've ever tested. This is another big swing from Nothing, but not the certified success I'd hoped for after loving the original Headphone model's design and functionality so much.

The fact of the matter is that you can't go wrong with any headphones that Nothing makes. I think the Headphone (a) is the better overall value, but these headphones are quite good for what they are. I'm just not positive the additional features you get are worth the extra price.
