Sure, there are things to nitpick such as the selection of ports, fan control, maintenance options and input devices. Nevertheless, we were still pleasantly surprised by the 17-inch notebook. Users can get excited, not only about the color-accurate 144 Hz panel but also, about one of the fastest implementations of the RTX 2080 Max-Q on the market.

The GX701GX is the first of many gaming laptops to ship with Nvidia's RTX 20-series GPUs, and while it's an amazing laptop, there's nothing to compare it to directly at this time. It's faster than the last gen, for sure, but I can't give it a perfect 10 until I know what other companies will be offering. It is darn close to a perfect laptop though, with only the McAfee installation as a negative (aside from its high price).
