The ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi has almost every feature you’d want at this price, except maybe USB 4 and Thunderbolt 4, plus it’s nearly cheaper than the admittedly excellent ASRock X670E Taichi, has an excellent EFI and its software isn’t bad either.

Surprisingly, this board offers an impressive number of PCI-E 5.0 compliant slots. Notably, there are two PCI-E 5.0 ready x16 slots designed to accommodate the latest GPUs, making it compatible with dual Nvidia RTX 4090s.

The Asus ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi is an impressive motherboard. It has everything you'd need for a very capable AMD Ryzen 7000 PC build. The VRM setup and power design allow for quite the punch through overclocking and even when running at stock settings, you'll not encounter any stability issues. Supporting the latest DDR5 RAM, we ran successful tests using DDR5-6400 kits.

Among the most prominent features are the excellent connectivity, both external and internal, with all USB ports operating at 10 Gbps and two USB-C Gen2x2 connectors operating at 20 Gbps. This, of course, is a full AM5 motherboard; the ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi will be compatible with several processors released by AMD. It also means digging deep inside your pockets. The price increase has been substantial, since the equivalent model in the X570 cost €450, even though it is something we see in virtually all motherboards.

This is an exceptional motherboard, truly it’s one of the best we’ve ever tested and one of the most powerful, and most comprehensively expandable too. It’s astonishing to see it deliver both extremely fast performance and lower power usage at the same time, while still maintaining excellent VRM temperatures. If you’re just gaming, you can get close to the same performance for half the price.
