Benchmarks: HD Tune Pro
In HD Tune Pro the random read test strongly favors the G.Skill Falcon II 128GB as it provided our best results for the 64KB, 1MB and random file size tests. Again when working with small data samples the Falcon II was also very good delivering some of the better results.
The random write results again paint somewhat of a different picture for the G.Skill Falcon II 128GB in this test. When working with 512 byte and 4KB files the drive was blistering fast. It was also very impressive when working with 64KB files, however once we began working with 1MB files things started to slow down as the Falcon II maxed out at around 125MB/s.
